DIONICOS network
Marie Curie funding for exchange of researchers
A consortium of 6 European and 12 non-European partners, including sites in France and Germany as well as in Russia, Ukraine, India, the United States and Venezuela, has been successful in bidding for a networking grant worth £560k within the IRSES scheme of the European Commission's 7th Framework Programme. The DIONICOS network, coordinated by Christian von Ferber and Martin Weigel from AMRC, has been set up to perform research on the "Dynamics of and in complex systems" and will elucidate dynamical phenomena in social systems such as human traffic or online games, but also in more traditional physical systems such as random magnets. The network will be officially opened with a kick-off meeting in April 2014. Details can be found on the project website
