GPU Symposium
Computer Simulations on GPU
Between May 30 and June 1, 2011, an International Symposium on
"Computer Simulations on GPU" will take place in Schloss
Waldthausen, close to Mainz, Germany. The workshop is being
organized by Martin Weigel and Peter Virnau (University of
Mainz), and Axel Arnold (University of Stuttgart).
The workshop will bring together scientists employing GPU device
for computer simulations int statistical and condensed-matter
physics, lattice field theory and astrophysics with specialists
in high-performance computing and representatives from computer
industry discussing their experience in designing and using
graphics processing units and special purpose computers for
pushing the limits of computationally tractable problems.
We will have about twenty invited talks (30 minutes including
discussion) and twenty contributed talks (15 minutes including
discussion), as well as a poster session. It is our intention to
create an informal workshop atmosphere stimulating as much as
possible the interaction amongst participants. For this reason we
urge all, invited and contributing speakers, to actively
participate during the course of the meeting.
