MECO39 conference
MECO39 to be held in Coventry
The Conferences of the Middle European Cooperation in Statistical Mechanics (MECO) were initiated in the 1970’s with the aim of fostering collaborations among scientists from the Eastern and Western Europe. During the Cold War, the conference series allowed scientists in the East and West to maintain open scientific dialogue and beneficial collaborations across the Iron Curtain. The MECO conferences quickly evolved to become Europe’s yearly reference meeting for the whole community of scientists active in the field of statistical mechanics in the broader sense, including mathematical foundations and interdisciplinary applications. MECO is now amongst the most prestigious forums in statistical mechanics and related disciplines.
MECO39 will be hosted by the Applied Mathematics Research Centre (AMRC) at Coventry University. The AMRC was founded in 2006 and is now the premier research vehicle for the mathematical sciences at Coventry. Please have a look at the MECO website.
